Master of Public Health 

At SUNY Downstate, you’ll gain the skills and experience to become a leader in healthcare! Our program has a special focus on health equity for minoritized and marginalized communities. You’ll gain real-world experience in Brooklyn, a diverse community that’s home to over 100 different racial and ethnic groups. Online and in-person learning options are available with concentrations in Biostatistics, Community Health, Epidemiology, Environmental and Occupational Health, and Health Policy and Management.


Master of Healthcare Administration (new Manhattan location or Brooklyn campus)

Our Master of Healthcare Administration prepares you for leadership in any public or private healthcare setting. It offers flexible learning options for working students including online classes and in-person evening classes in Brooklyn or our new mid-town Manhattan location.


Advanced Certificates 

A one-year advanced certificate can be earned online and can greatly enhance your career options. Certificates are offered in a number of key areas including Clinical Epidemiology, Public Health Geriatrics, Climate Change and Planetary Health as well as our general Public Health Certificate. Credits can be used towards an MPH down the road.
